Eric Robert Gray, the Atherton man arrested December 21 on charges of sexual molestation of a 15-year-old Santa Clara County girl, entered a plea of not guilty in San Mateo County Superior Court on Wednesday, January 5.

Mr. Gray's charges include sexual battery and two counts of oral copulation. The county prosecutor also alleges that Mr. Gray has a 2001 conviction of unlawful intercourse with a minor.

In this case, the prosecutor said Mr. Gray met the Santa Clara girl in an online chat room, invited her home, fondled her and, when she resisted, sexually assaulted her. -- Bay City News
