i'm writing this in response to some misinformed comments so that once and for all, people will get the following info. right. Iran is not an arabic country, but is in the middle east. (omid comes from there). Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt etc (there are several others) - ARE arabic and are largely in the middle east. Crucially - Pakistan is neither arabic, nor in the middle east - so stop lumping them all together.

if i said to an englishman 'well you're french aren't you' - he's not gonna say, 'well yes, you are right' is he, cos, it's not right. the only thing that links these countries is the dominant religion being islam - much like england is linked with a trillion other countries on the basis of it's main religion - but you wouldn't wanna be called an american, or a german, or a brazilian now would you - if you are english? rant/education over
