Unhappy And you thought It couldn't get worse!!

I saw this on the news tonight, and had to read more about it. It was on the BBC World News, in the Health Section.

"Scientists have proved for the first time that sperm grown from embryonic stem cells can be used to produce offspring."

and this

"For the first time we have created life using artificial sperm", Professor Karim Nayernia

To quote a line from the Matrix:

"There are fields, endless fields, where human beings are no longer born, we are grown."

It seems to be headed that way, doesn't it?

It should be noted that the (sole?) reason they're doing this is so lesbian couples can reproduce.

That and the fact the "inquiring minds want to know", scientists like to "know" everything , they keep pushing up the stakes in trying to "create" life. I think I'll call it the "Frankinstein syndrome". An illiness of "god" aspiring status in which the scientist hopes to attain the unattainable, the power of creating life from nothing and therefore Prove the big bang theory and evolution in one full sweep which leads to the believe that We are gods.

Even if they manage to create life from embryonic stems cells, they still started with something. They didn't create from nothing like God did. I don't believe that they will ever be able to create something from nothing.

I agree with what you have said, though, nancyjean.

I agree.

They still need to use the DNA that God created. Whether they learn to extract it from different cells and plug it into other cells, they still have to use the DNA that GOD made.

Mankind will NEVER be able to make something from nothing. We always have to start out with something that God made first. It's like cheating and then claiming the work as our own.

They should thank God for every breath they take and for the intelligence He gave to them, and they should STOP trying to usurp His place on the throne of heaven as "God". They can try all they want all their lives, they will never be little gods. They will NEVER take God's place. It's sad how hard they try.

More love for their Father in heaven and less desire to see Him proved non-existant would be better.

I believe God has created us to be these creative beings that create because we are made in His image, but I do believe we can go too far and this imo is sick.

I realize that they need dna and such, but their "dream" is not to have to use anything, therefore trying to create life from non-life. Thus this makes it part of my "Frankinstein syndrome". But, I am just starting to form the hypothesis, so may be others can join in and add to this hypothesis. LOL

Well, they require human DNA from somewhere. You can't make a human being without human DNA. And no one can "make" human DNA from nothingness. My goodness, we barely understand 1/10th of how DNA even works! How could anyone think they could actually "make" it from scratch? That may be their "dream", but guess what? I have a "dream" that someday I'll be 5'7", 105 lbs and look like Angelina Jolie, but that's not happening either!

Dreams are nice, but all the effort in the world won't make impossible dreams come true.

This brought a joke to mind:

One day a group of scientists got together and decided that humans had come a long way and no longer needed God. So they picked one scientist to go and tell God so.

The scientist walked up to God and said, "God, we've decided that we no longer need you; We're to the point that we can clone people and do many miraculous things, so why don't You just go on and get lost."

God listened very patiently and kindly to the man. After the scientist was done talking, God said, "Very well, how about this? Let's say we have a man-making contest." To which the scientist replied, "Okay, great!"

"But," God added, "we're going to do this just like I did back in the old days with Adam."

The scientist said, "Sure, no problem" and bent down and grabbed himself a handful of dirt.

God looked at him and said, "No, no, no. You go get your own dirt."

They don't seem to get that this artificial sperm is made from human DNA and that creating DNA from scratch is impossible and will never happen....the blind fools.
