Destructive, yes. But just the tool if you need to cut a fire break in a hurry to stop an approaching fire front. And you guys that hate nature should have a look at how a tree contributes to the ecosystem. THEY MAKE OXYGEN YOU IDIOTS!!
here in finland we have real forest harvesters with wheels...timberjack .ponsse..john deere...wy dont they täke the money of those threes instead of slashing them!
it aint that easy, when you come to appreciate the beauty of wilderness you will understand it can take several hundreds to thousand years to for nature to be restored to wild beauty. To restore destroyed land (stones, cliffs etc) takes much longer, several billion years. One day you will see there is a huge difference between cultivated park and natural "untouched" forests. A park you can make in a day, the same area natural wild takes eons....
The reason it's called slashbuster is because trees that aren't merchantable timber are usually left lying on the ground, or burnt in slash piles.
There's nothing wrong with leaving slash around: it's fertilizer for the next crop of trees. But if you are going to turn forest into farmland then this is probably a good solution, the trees get mulched and you don't have to burn them (which can be a bit touchy since there are only certain times of year when it's safe to do so).
for all of you tree-huggin' fags, SHUT THE FUCK UP!
How about you just get your eyes poked out? I doubt you use them for anything worthwhile anyhow. <g>
